My mix of Francophile and American thoughts from the beautiful Strasbourg, France.

I’m hoping to share the charm of this amazing city (and others that I encounter in my travels around the country) with my fellow Francophiles. Due to a large number of requests, a guide to TAPIF is also coming soon.

  1. Thank you for liking my little post about the bells in the cathedral where you live and teach. Merci!
    Voulez-vous regardez des peintures de William-Adolphe Bouguereau, ce qui j’ai posté a mon blog ? ( Pardonnez-moi, s’il vous plais, pour mon « fractured Français . » )

  2. About the shepherdess – my Mother looked a bit like she does. Merci, Bouguereau!

  3. Bonjour!
Merci d’aimer mon blog d’aujourd’hui et amusez-vous bien a Strasbourg.
J’aime beaucoup vos reflections sur la langue.

Found your blog in an attempt to find opinions about the various schools in Strasbourg. I might be moving our bi-cultural, bilingual family there soon (including my eldest dd who will be in 4eme/8th grade). Would love to hear more about the schools.
Noticed you liked a blog about renovating a house in Bretagne — we are, as well, though I don’t have a blog. Loved the comic about Bretagne and Alsace!

    • Thanks! I am finishing my year as an assistant and I hope to write more about the schools soon. I know some bi-cultural families here with their children in the International School, etc. I don’t have a family but if you have any questions down the line, I’d be glad to help as much as I can or to pass your questions to these families! Feel free to send me a message on Facebook. Good luck with your project!
